You may have read somewhere that creating a website with a no-code tool was easy? So you put your hands in Webflow and... boom. You realised that it wasn 't that easy...

Don't panic, this is the normal process and you have already started to learn. Now it's time to get over this first "difficulty" andlearn how to master the no-code Webflow tool.

I am Florian, Webflow expert at Digidop and I give you in this article my 5 tips to progress quickly on Webflow.

1. Copy projects from other experts

There is nothing like copying templates from other projects on Webflow to understand how to build a webflow site. You will learn much faster by understanding how they were built from the inside. Here is what you need to do:

Go to the Webflow Showcase → open a project → clone the site → see how it was built → rebuild it!

2. Practice EVERY day

Webflow is a complex and comprehensive tool. It evolves quickly and the human mind tends to forget quickly. If you want to progress quickly on Webflow, you must practice building web pages/sites using Webflow every day.

3. Find solutions to your blockages on your own

Don't know how to do it? Don't panic. You can find the solution on your own (by testing different buttons) or on the web (blog, youtube tutorial, forum, etc.). There is a lot of shared content related to no code on the web, to help you.

3.1 Test different configurations

Test different buttons, to find... the right technical configuration! Yes, yes! Sometimes it's by clicking a little on "all the buttons" that you find the desired layout! Don't be afraid, in the worst case, there is the keyboard shortcut of return command + Z! 😎

3.2 Thanks to Youtube tutorials

There are many tutorials and lessons on Webflow on Youtube! Especially if you speak English. For example, the Webflow University will allow you to learn a lot about Webflow.

Are you a French speaker? On our channel, you can discover videos to learn Webflow in French.

3.3 Read blog posts

Here are some blog posts to help you learn how to use the Webflow tool without code:

  1. Webflow Training 2022 - Create your website
  2. 6 mistakes to avoid making for your Webflow site
  3. 5 tips for optimising the SEO structure of a website

And many others...

4. Open up to training on the basics of HTML and CSS

Webflow is a no-code platform, but obviously works with code. The designer is structured exactly the same way as the HTML and CSS code. That's why Webflow is often called a visual interface to write code.

Learning the basics of HTML and CSS will help you enormously in your Webflow developments.

5. Take an interest in SEO

Optimising your site for SEO means spending time thinking about issues that are more or less technical. Learning SEO helps to understand the fundamentals of web development and therefore to make rapid progress on Webflow.

At Digidop, for example, our Webflow developers first go through our internal SEO training before diving into Webflow development. Why do we do this?

Because...having a website is good, having a website with traffic is better 😉
